Start Logging Your Development Journey

A WordPress-native journaling tool for agencies, product managers, and indie developers.

Installation Instructions:

Download the .zip file using the link above.
In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
Click the “Upload Plugin” button at the top of the page.
Choose the .zip file you downloaded and click “Install Now”.
Once installed, click “Activate Plugin”.
You will find the “Daily Dev Habit”, “Settings”, and “Help” pages under the new “Daily Dev Habit” menu item in your admin sidebar. Configure your GitHub settings if you wish to use the auto-save feature.

Best for: Project Managers, Agency Owners, and Non-Technical Stakeholders.

You don’t need API keys or GitHub tokens to get value from Daily Dev Habit. Use it as a standardization tool to keep your client reports consistent.

How it works: Install the plugin, customize the questions in the Settings tab to match your agency’s reporting needs, and start typing.
The Power Feature: Use the “Copy to Clipboard” button. Instantly format your daily progress into clean HTML or Markdown to paste into emails, Slack, Monday.com, or Jira.
Why use it: Stop chasing developers for updates. Give them a simple form right where they work (in the WP Admin), and get consistent, readable reports every time.

Keep your development context right next to your code. This mode connects your WordPress logs directly to a private GitHub repository.

How it works: Generate a GitHub Personal Access Token (PAT) with repo scope and paste it into the plugin settings.
The Power Feature: “Commit-less Logging.” You don’t need to pollute your git commit history with daily thoughts. Your logs are saved as individual files in a dedicated folder in your repo, creating a permanent, searchable history of your project’s lifecycle.
Why use it: Never forget why you built a feature. Creates a “paper trail” of decisions that lives outside the database.

Best for: Technical Leads and Multi-Project Architects.

Centralize your logs across multiple WordPress sites, local CLI environments, and native apps.

Status: Currently in Private Beta.
How to Access: This feature requires a DDH Cloud Token. Because this integrates with our centralized telemetry API, access is currently limited to manual review.
